The NonProfit HelpDesk develops holistic educational programs specifically designed to meet the needs of non-profit organizations with a special focus on smaller organizations. We combine education with mentoring to help staff put what they’ve learned to work immediately. We limit the amount of out-of-office time. We build relationships among students for ongoing sharing and support.

Each year, NPHD offers courses and webinars taught by practicing experts in each field. Management, staff and board members of DYCD-funded nonprofit organizations can attend these courses and webinars at no charge.

College Credit-Bearing Certificate Program in Nonprofit Management
The NPHD, with support from the Brooklyn Community Foundation, has developed a college credit-bearing certificate program in nonprofit financial management , which is now being offered at Brooklyn College. The program is the first of its kind in New York City.

Staff Training and Education Tailored to Your Needs
We can tailor a small group workshop to meet a particular need of your organization. We also offer half-day workshops on fundamental topics in financial management, technology and leadership development.
